A helpful hint from floral designer Judy Brillhart on extending the life of your fresh flowers:
After enjoying your fresh flowers for 3-4 days, drain the water from your container while holding the flowers in place. Mix together 1-2 drops of bleach, 3-4 tablespoons of sugar, and 2-3 cups of tepid water. Add this mixture to the flower container until full. Continue to enjoy your flowers!
